Based on XDA-developers blog, HTC HD2 seems to have been released with the larger amount of RAM is greater than that mentioned in the ad. In the US, from the advertised 448MB, has found 576MB RAM is installed in it. China is also a user has to mail a screenshot of the HD2 with more RAM.

Currently competing hackers to test the extent to which the limits of HTC HD2. Apart from additional RAM, which is also found inside the FM transmitter.

The existence of the new features show that HTC hide some HD2 capabilities, which allows for the preparation of future upgrades. This could be reasonable, because the various parties have indicated to the emergence of Windows Mobile 7, although apparently still in a period long enough.
